30 May 2023 15:01 | Alberta Brewers (Administrator)

The City of Edmonton is introducing a Single-use Item Reduction Bylaw (20117). With the help of businesses and residents, we can reduce litter and waste sent to the landfill.

Online resources

These resources (and more) in the business toolkit at edmonton.ca/SingleUse may help your business and customers prepare.

  • Start by reviewing the online Bylaw Guide or Bylaw Guide Videos to learn more about the bylaw, its benefits, and steps you should take to prepare (or review the full bylaw here)

  • Review the Sustainable Food Service Guide for help choosing more environmentally-friendly alternatives to Styrofoam, and find a local supplier

  • Print posters and tent cards to help inform your customers about bylaw requirements
